AirTrain
The subway or the Long Island Rail Road and AirTrain JFK are fast, economical ways to Kennedy International Airport.
AirTrain JFK links the Howard Beach
and the Sutphin Boulevard
subway stations, and LIRR’s Jamaica Station directly to JFK. It takes about an hour from most parts of the city, and about 15 minutes from LIRR’s Jamaica Station — with no traffic worries ever.
And just like the subway, AirTrain runs 24/7.
Access-A-Ride
AAR provides transportation for people with disabilities who are unable to use public bus or subway service for some or all of their trips. It offers shared ride, door-to-door paratransit service. AAR operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you call 877-337-2017 and reserve your trip to a location in Nassau or Westchester counties, the reservationist will inform you if the location is within the three-quarter mile service area. New York City Transit (NYC Transit) administers AAR; private carriers under contract to NYC Transit provide service. Feeder Service is provided for some customers.
Parking in NYC
Alternate Side Parking
The City suspends street cleaning (alternate side parking or ASP) rules on the legal and religious holidays listed on the calendar. On major legal holidays, No Stopping, No Standing, and No Parking regulations are also suspended, except where those regulations are normally in effect seven days a week. Parking meter regulations are also suspended on major legal holidays. On all other holidays, only street cleaning rules are suspended. All other regulations remain in effect.
